About the Author
Thom Bateman started his career working at a Latin American restaurant, where at just 18 years old he was made the head chef. In 2019, he started a food blog, where he showcased his immense talent, then in 2020, he took on his family's restaurant with the intent to create a fine dining space for the first time in the area. His restaurant The Flintlock has recently gained 3AA rosettes as well as entering the Michelin guide - the first restaurant in the area to receive these accolades. He opened his second restaurant, Après. In 2024 Thom represented the Central region on Great British Menu.
