Shipping

How much do you charge for shipping?

Shipping is $5.90 no matter where you live in New Zealand or the number of books in your order.

How long will it take to receive my order?

We hold over 5,000 books in-stock and orders are delivered overnight nationwide using NZ Post.

What countries do you ship to?

We're based in Auckland and ship nationwide throughout New Zealand. We do not currently ship internationally.

Pick Ups

Can I collect my order in person?

Yes! We offer a free Pick Up service for customers who live in Auckland. Place your order online as normal and select Pick Up in the Checkout. Orders are ready within 1 hour during normal business hours and we'll send you an email when your order is ready to pick up.

What are your opening hours?

We're currently open for Pick Ups from 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday, and 10am - 2pm on Saturday. Please remember to place your order before coming in, as it can take up to 1 hour for your order to be picked and ready to collect.

What is your address?

Our warehouse is located at 2/6 Workspace Drive, Hobsonville 0618, Auckland. We are not a normal retail store, so please remember to check our opening hours and place an order in advance of coming to visit us!

Ordering

Can I request a book you don't hold in stock?

Absolutely! We work with suppliers and publishers in New Zealand and overseas. Drop us an email and we'll give you a price and an estimated date for delivery to New Zealand.

Can I request a price match?

If you find a book cheaper elsewhere please drop us an email and we'll do our best to match it. We hold local stock in Auckland and provide a high service level to customers, so we regret that in some instances we're unable to provide the lowest price for a book.

What payment methods do you offer?

We currently accept VISA, Master Card and American Express. We will be adding "Buy Now Pay Later" including After Pay in the near future.

Can I track my order?

Of course! We ship all orders using NZ Post and you can track your order from My Account or by following the link sent to your email address.

Can I cancel my order?

If you want to cancel your order before your books have shipped, drop us an email and we'll cancel your order and issue you a refund.

If you want to return books from an order that's already shipped, drop us an email and we'll process a return for you.

Gifting

Can I request for my order to be Gift Wrapped?

Select the "Send as Gift" option on any book's product page. For $5.95 we'll gift wrap your book and include a hand-written personalised gift card. You can select to have your gift sent to yourself or direct to your loved one.

Do you sell online gift cards?

You can order Book Hero gift cards in $25, $50 and $100. Gift cards can be emailed directly to the recipient or printed and given as a physical gift. Gift cards expire 3 years from the date of issue.

How do I redeem a gift card?

Enter your gift card code in the Checkout. Look for the "Discount code or gift card" box.

Returns and Refunds

Can I return a damaged book?

We do everything possible to package your books careful to ensure it arrives in mint condition. However, if your book arrives damaged please take a photo and drop us an email within 7 days of receiving your damaged book. We'll do our best to look after you with either a replacement book or a refund.

Can I return a book I no longer want?

If you've changed your mind and want to return a book you can do so within 7 days so long as the book is returned to us in mint condition.

How do I return a book?

If you wish to return a book for any reason you must contact us within 7 days of receiving your order.

We will arrange for the book to be returned via NZ Post. If you are returning a book due to changing your mind a return fee to cover courier expenses may be applied.
