Competition Terms & Conditions
Eligibility: Entry is open to New Zealand residents unless otherwise specified.
Who Can Enter: Employees, contractors, suppliers of Book Hero, and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
Prize Details: The prize is not redeemable for cash or store credit and is valued at full retail price.
Winner Selection: Winners will be chosen at random unless stated otherwise. Book Hero reserves the right to verify entries and disqualify those that don’t meet the eligibility requirements.
How Winners are Contacted:
- Social Media Competitions: For competitions held on social media, winners will be contacted via the platform where the competition was announced, usually Facebook or Instagram. In most cases, we’ll reach out to the account used to enter; other methods, such as email, may be used if necessary.
- Website Competitions: For competitions entered through our website, winners will be notified via the email associated with their Book Hero account.
Claiming the Prize: If the prize isn’t claimed within 7 days or within the timeframe specified, we’ll conduct a redraw. This process will be repeated until the prize is claimed within the specified period.
Technical Issues: Book Hero is not liable for any technical problems that may affect the entry process or competition administration, including issues with internet connection, phone networks, or other equipment used.
Competition Disruption: If unforeseen circumstances prevent the competition from running as planned—like technical issues, viruses, or unauthorized activity—Book Hero reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the competition, as well as disqualify any individuals involved in tampering.
General Liability: Book Hero cannot be held responsible for errors, omissions, interruptions, or technical failures, nor any injuries or damages that may arise from participating in the competition or downloading materials related to it.
