DescriptionIn The Lean Startup, Eric Ries presents a revolutionary method for developing businesses and products that is changing the way companies operate. This innovative approach, rooted in principles of lean manufacturing, teaches entrepreneurs the art of building a sustainable business by focusing on rapid scientific experimentation and validated learning. It explores the importance of iterating products based on real customer feedback, rather than traditional product development cycles which can be lengthy and speculative.
Ries introduces the concept of the "Minimum Viable Product" (MVP), a strategy that emphasises starting with a bare-bones product to test hypotheses and gather essential customer insights early in the development process. This allows businesses to pivot or persevere based on empirical data, ultimately reducing waste and increasing the probability of success. The Lean Startup demonstrates how to effectively measure progress, set and achieve attainable milestones, and align products more closely with customer needs.
