See more40 comforting recipes for cinnamon rolls and other buns from around the world, to create that cosy hygge feeling at home.
Taking the beloved cinnamon bun as the starting point, this book explains the magic of this classic bake - from the key ingredients and pastry-making tips, to the types of dough it can be made with, e.g. yeasted, vegan, gluten-free and sourdough, and the filling and glaze variations to try. Clear step-by-step photos demonstrate exactly how to make and assemble the bun pastry and how to shape it in different ways.
Then you'll find 40 recipes for other popular buns, pastries and rolls from around the world now that you've mastered the rules of perfect pastry. Recipes include Swedish cardamom buns, British Chelsea buns, chapters on fruit-based recipes, luxurious flavoured buns, and other pastry-themed creations such as babka and even ice cream made with leftover cinnamon bun pieces!
Sweet Buns is not just an invaluable guide for any baker wanting to master the art of perfect cinnamon buns, but also anyone who loves the Scandinavian and German culture of a mid-morning coffee with a delicious treat.

About the Author
A few years ago Maren Thobaben gave up her career to undertake a traditional, artisanal apprenticeship as a pastry chef. She then worked in Michelin-starred restaurants, helped manage a cafΓ©, and founded Mrs. T. It started out as a small manufacturer, producing various delicacies with tea-a wide range from popcorn to barbecue sauce.
Today, Mrs. T focuses on developing recipes and on baking workshops in Germany.
