Regency Playing Cards recreates the fashions and card games of the short, but influential, Regency Period of British history.

The classic deck of cards was a relatively new phenomenon at the turn of the 19th century, and card games became the Nintendo Switch of the day. New games spread through social circles, and sometimes whole weekends were dedicated to the card game of the moment.

Regency Playing Cards celebrates the fashions and games of the era, with two decks of 54 cards featuring beautifully illustrated fashion plates from the time, most notably from Ackerman’s Repository – the must-have fashion magazine of the early nineteenth century.
