What the Book Hero Team are Loving - Puzzles!

There's nothing quite like the feel of cracking open a new book, except perhaps starting a new puzzle?

The Book Hero team are big fans of puzzles (have you seen Amelia and Siobahn's next level tips for puzzle storage?). It's another cozy activity that can be done solo or with friends, and is perfect for warming up this winter and enjoying an invitation to slow down and go analog for a while. We asked the team to share some of the puzzles they've been loving lately - here's a round up for you! There's something for everyone.

One of my recent puzzles was the eeBoo Alchemists Library, and I loved it. It was my first time doing a square puzzle, and I really enjoyed it. The puzzle itself was amazing quality, and eeBoo has very quickly become one of my favourite brands. I can't wait to collect even more of these gorgeous puzzles!

The puzzle I've been doing this week is the Ravensburger Magical Fairy Tale Hour. I absolutely love this puzzle and have completed it about four or five times now. It's very whimsical and charming, and I love all the little Easter eggs in it. There's something about the bookshelf puzzles that my sister and I can't get enough of - they even have their own folder colour!

Up next, I'm trying to decide between the Trefl Tropical Hummingbirds and the eeBoo Alchemists Kitchen. Both are so beautiful but very different from each other (although I'll most definitely end up doing both!).

I am currently absolutely obsessed with the beautiful Harlington Disney Puzzles - we have the Winnie the Pooh one, as well as the Lion King version. My husband grew up loving both of these so they feel very nostalgic, but the puzzles themselves are also just so incredibly beautifully designed with most gorgeous artwork.

My four year old girl, Tilly, is currently in her own puzzle era. We've been loving the Crocodile Creek puzzles! They're amazing quality, come in a range of sizes and piece numbers, and have beautiful designs that are bright and just detailed enough without being too tricky for our younger puzzlers! The last one we bought was Unicorn Castle, and we've done it at least 10 times in the last couple of weeks. She loves being able to grow her confidence as she can do them more and more independently.

Another brand I have a small collection growing of is the Laurence King puzzles, especially the bookish ones! I'm excited for a quiet weekend where I can break out one of these, but I've also been buying these regularly as gifts because they have such great niche subjects that are perfect for bookish people. As a big fan of Agatha Christie (I have a line of hers tattooed on me!) I love the Miss Marple one which is a garden scene full of clues to spot, and I'm also more than a little obsessed with The World of Jane Austen which is a visual feast of Regency England with little details to spot from Austen's life as well as her novels.

I recently completed the eeBoo: Midnight Kitchen Square Puzzle and really enjoyed the challenge. It was one of the more difficult puzzles I've done recently but I liked how cosy it was. I was impressed with how well the pieces stayed together when I moved it.

My current puzzle is the Ceaco Disney Villains 1500pc puzzle. I've done this one about three or four times now and it's my go to for when I'm in a puzzle slump. What I like about Ceaco puzzles is that their pieces aren't all standard; they have many cool variations. I really like the villain puzzles and am keen to get the Villainous puzzles that we stock to add to our collection. Ceaco's puzzle designs are similar to the Harlington puzzles which also make up a large part of our collection.

Next on my list to complete is either one of the Trefl Paper Art puzzles or the Mindbogglers Eiffel on the Seine puzzle as they both look like they will provide quite a fun challenge.

Let us know what puzzles you have been loving lately!
