Laura Sharrad is one of Australia's most celebrated culinary talents, best known for her appearances on MasterChef Australia, where she was runner-up twice before ultimately taking home the title in 2025. Raised in a proud Italian family, Laura's love of food began in her grandmothers' kitchens, where she learned the traditions, recipes and values that continue to shape her cooking today. Born in Melbourne and now based in South Australia, Laura has built an impressive career spanning restaurants, television, food writing and digital media. Alongside her husband, chef Max Sharrad, she co-founded the acclaimed restaurants Nido Bar & Pasta and Fugazzi Bar & Dining, earning a reputation for approachable, flavour-driven Italian food that celebrates family and connection.
