About the Author
Caprice D. Hollins is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 25 years' experience facilitating workshops on race, racism, and race relations and teaching graduate courses, including 20 years as Associate Professor with the Seattle School of Theology & Psychology. After serving as the first Director of Equity and Race Relations for Seattle Public Schools, she co-founded Cultures Connecting, culturesconnecting.com, providing professional development, keynotes, leadership coaching, and consulting services to organizations seeking to effectively engage in race conversations and dismantle institutional racism. Caprice holds a master's in arts and a doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a minor in Multicultural and Community Psychology. She is co-author with Ilsa Govan of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Strategies for Facilitating Conversations on Race. Her experience as a multiracial woman from a diverse family background provides a unique lens for her twin passions of anti-racism and social justice. She lives in Seattle, Washington.
