Extreme Ownership by Jocko Willink and Leif Babin is a compelling and actionable leadership guide that emerged from the high-stakes world of Navy SEALs combat and has since applied these core principles to the corporate world. This updated edition of the bestseller, which has sold more than half a million copies, continues to revolutionise how leadership is understood and practised by professionals across the globe.

Drawing from their experiences in the SEAL Task Unit Bruiser, the most highly decorated Special Operations unit from the war in Iraq, Jocko and Leif deliver raw and gripping combat stories, each embodying a critical leadership lesson. Within the chaotic and high-pressure environment of warfare, they discovered that effective leadership was the paramount factor in mission success. The lessons they absorbed and refined on the battlefield now resonate equally within the realms of business and everyday life.

In Extreme Ownership, Jocko and Leif delineate the SEAL leadership principles that are essential to executing the most challenging missions. They illustrate how these principles – taking complete responsibility, fostering a unity of purpose, leading by example, and more – can be adopted by any organisation to build dedicated, high-performance teams. These lessons are not simply theoretical; they are practical strategies forged in the crucible of combat and meticulously applied in corporate environments to drive success.

The book breaks down complex leadership concepts into digestible, actionable insights, ensuring that readers can internalise and implement them. Jocko and Leif's straightforward and no-nonsense approach makes the learnings accessible, while their vivid storytelling vividly brings to life the intensity and urgency of their experiences.

Whether you are a senior executive, a team leader, an entrepreneur, or someone looking to improve leadership skills in any context, Extreme Ownership provides a comprehensive blueprint for achieving extraordinary results. It empowers readers to adopt a mindset of responsibility and proactivity, revealing that the true power of leadership lies in ownership, decisiveness, and the relentless pursuit of excellence.

Lead with determination, embody accountability, and secure victories both professionally and personally – it all begins with embracing Extreme Ownership. Lead and win.
