James Eade has written several books about chess, including the best-selling Chess for Dummies. As a player, he was awarded the title of Chess Master by the USCF in 1981 and by FIDE in 1993. He is currently President of the U.S. Chess Trust. Revisions and new material by Al Lawrence, Director of the Texas Tech Chess Program and former Executive Director for the USCF and World Chess Hall of Fame. Al is an award-winning author, journalist, and editor.
