DYKONIC (dye-KON-ik)
adjective (informal/slang)
Portmanteau of the words ‘dyke’ and ‘iconic’, meaning exceptionally iconic within lesbian, sapphic or queer culture; embodying bold, confident or culturally resonant queer identity.

In The Dykonic Handbook, breakout star of BBC’s I Kissed a Girl – and everyone’s favourite lesbian big sister – Amy Spalding helps you live your best queer life. Covering everything from the trials and tribulations of coming out and how to successfully traverse TikTok comments (beware: hey mamas lesbians ahead), to journeying through the history of queer dress, where you can explore how to build your very own lesbian capsule wardrobe.

With the help of some hilarious, anonymous, sexy-time stories, Amy will settle any nerves you may have before doing the deed, help you discover a plethora of new ways to find community, navigate the infamous lesbian web and a whole lot more.

Featuring stories from Amy’s own gloriously messy journey, heartfelt advice from sapphic elders, and answers to the most burning FAQs from her followers, this book is for anyone at any stage of their queerness.

Whether you’re newly questioning, proudly out, or somewhere in between, this is the ultimate guide to becoming absolutely DYKONIC, daaarling.

“You watched her wild lesbian antics on I Kissed A Girl and now you can read her ultimate guide to being totally dykonic... if you’ve ever yearned for a wise, funny lesbian BFF to show you the ropes, this is the read for you” – DIVA MAG

“Amy's created a welcoming space for emerging dykes to find home in who they are. Informative, warm and chic, her enthusiasm for how utterly fab it is to be gay is palpable – we should be handing these out at every Pride event across the land” – RUBY RARE
