Cultivate WELL-BEING, BALANCE and DEEP FULFILMENT with Japanese time-honoured RITUALS, mindful PHILOSOPHIES and gentle PRACTICES for the body, mind and soul.
In today’s fast-paced world, self-care is more important than ever. The complex challenges of modern living are leading to stress, anxiety, and diminished well-being. In a culture renowned for its quiet elegance and ancient wisdom, Japanese self-care offers a path to harmony, resilience, and tranquillity in everyday life.
The Book of Japanese Self-care will first introduce you to the concept behind the Japanese way of life, including its ancient traditions, spiritual practices, cultural values, and religious influence. You will then be guided through specific rituals and philosophies to nurture your body, mind, and soul – giving you mental clarity, calming your senses, nourishing your body, and helping you to live your life with gratitude.
From healing hot springs and traditional Japanese cuisine to immersive forest bathing and restorative tea ceremonies, the beautiful practices in this book will empower you to reconnect with yourself. You will also be introduced to mindful meditation and Zen-inspired minimalism as well as other philosophical concepts such as ikigai – the reason for being – which will guide you towards a life of joy and peace.
