World Cinemas, Transnational Perspectives

Book Hero Magic crafted this summary to help describe this book. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! Summary
World Cinemas, Transnational Perspectives challenges the conventional focus on "national cinema" by exploring cinema through the lens of the "transnational." This anthology critically examines how national and transnational cinematic categories coexist, analysing historiographical methods that cross national borders. The book is structured in three parts: the geopolitical imaginary, transnational cinematic institutions, and the uneven flow of words and images, offering a comprehensive enquiry into global cinema practices.
