About the Author
Liverpudlian-born Nisha Katona MBE (@NishaKatona) is the founder, executive chef and development chef of Mowgli Street Food restaurants and founder of the Mowgli Trust charity. Previously a full-time Barrister, Nisha used all her savings to open the first Mowgli Street Food restaurant in her home city of Liverpool in 2014 and has grown Mowgli into 27 restaurants across the UK, beloved for bringing fresh and tasty Indian home cooking to cities across the country. Mowgli Street Food is recognised as one of the nation's fastest growing companies according to The Sunday Times Fast Track 100. Mowgli was ranked in the Top 25 of the 'The UK's Top 100 Best Large Companies to work for' category at the 2023 Best Companies Awards, as well as being ranked in The Sunday Times 2024 Best Places to Work. Nisha films regularly for the BBC, Channel 4 and ITV and is a familiar face on This Morning, The Great British Menu, Lorraine, Sunday Brunch and Saturday Kitchen, whilst also hosting her own show on ITV, Nisha Katona's Home Kitchen. Nisha is the author of six cookbooks including The Spice Tree and The 30 Minute Mowgli. This is her 7th book.
