Twenty years after finding the blue zones, best-selling author Dan Buettner reveals four new longevity hotspots and the powerful lessons they offer for adding up to 12 more healthy years to your life.

What if the future of longevity isn't just about living longer—but living better?

In The Blue Zones Evolution, best-selling author and longevity expert Dan Buettner journeys beyond the original blue zones to explore extraordinary places that are redefining what it means to age well. In these extraordinary places, people aren't just reaching impressive ages, they're extending their health-adjusted life expectancy (HALE), living up to 12 more years in good health than the average American.

Through immersive reporting, cutting-edge science, and remarkable real-world stories, Buettner unveils the lifestyle habits, cultural values, food traditions, and community structures that help these populations thrive. From "being mean to cars" for more pedestrian-friendly streets to the impact of volunteering, these four HALE zones show how public policy, generational wisdom, and the power of connection can impact the communities we live in to create remarkable health outcomes for ourselves.

Practical and deeply inspiring, The Blue Zones Evolution offers a new blueprint for longevity, adding not just years to life, but life to your years.
