About the Author

Born and raised in China, Shuang Li had formal, academic fine art training throughout her school life, receiving her BA in Graphic Design and MA in Art History. After moving to the United States, she received an MFA (Master of Fine Arts) degree from the University of Oregon.
Shuang Li is a signature member of the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association, the National Watercolor Society, the American Impressionist Society, and the American Society of Marine Artists. In addition, she is an elected artist member of the California Art Club and the American Artists Professional League. Shuang Li's plein air and studio watercolors have won numerous awards at regional, national, and international prestigious art exhibitions.
Shuang Li has served as a faculty member for the Plein Air Convention since 2018. Besides plein air painting demonstrations and workshops, she also frequently serves as an invited juror for plein air events, art competitions, and art exhibitions.
