Tu Meke Tuatara! Te Reo Paperback
'Tu Meke Tuatara!' is a story about empathy, friendship and discovering that sometimes the best way we can feel better about ourselves, is to help someone else.
Tahi the Tuatara is down in the dumps, and no matter what his friend, Roger the Ruru, tries, nothing seems to change his mood. It’s not until they answer a cry for help that their journey takes an unexpected turn.

About the Author
About the author: With a background in television and a wide variety of creative interests, Malcolm has found his niche telling heart-warming kids’ stories about the natural world. The success of his first book, Tu Meke Tūī!, showed just how powerful it is when children get to learn about the environment in a fun and accessible way. Malcolm believes that teaching children about conservation from an early age will help to prepare them to be kaitiaki (guardians) who care for their world now and in the future. He is thrilled to add Tu Meke Tuatara! to the collection of Tu Meke Tales. About The Illustrator: An aerosol and stencil artist with a degree in fine arts, Flox is one of New Zealand’s most recognised contemporary artists. She first made her mark on Auckland’s inner-city landscape in 2003. Her trademark native birds, ferns and flowers are a celebration of New Zealand’s environmental taonga (treasures), and her work also has international appeal. Through her work, Flox redefines what it is to be a practising artist in the twenty-first century. www.flox.co.nz
