Things in Southwold get off to a bad start! Max has to do extra lessons while Charlie has been roped into helping with the decorating. Mark Dawson was born in Lowestoft, UK, and has worked as a DJ, ice cream door seller, factory hand and club promoter. He eventually trained as a lawyer and worked for ten years in London. He is the bestselling author of adult thrillers, such as the John Milton, Beatrix Rose and Isabella Rose series, and has sold more than 3 million books. He lives in Wiltshire with his wife and two children.Ben Mantle (Illustrator) Ben Mantle is the illustrator of Shane Hegarty's Boot, shortlisted for the Sainsbury's Children's Book Award.
