Life has only gotten more complicated since Sophie exposed a paranormal conspiracy deep within Miami. But between school, a news internship, and her upcoming Quinceañera, Soph must now balance a love triangle with Milo and Usnavy — and help a disgraced celebrity find his late wife’s “real killer.”
Sophie’s existence has been… not terrible lately as she splits her days between school (where Soph remains a pariah) and her internship at WMIA 7 (where way too many media tips about paranormal activity in Miami turn out to be way too true). And in her rare free time, Sophie acts in Milo’s latest student film.
With such a whirlwind life, it’s no surprise that everyone forgets Soph’s 15th birthday. But Soph’s parents intend to make up for this mistake by throwing her a Quinceñera.
Meanwhile, a disgraced celebrity chef hears how Sophie’s been proving her father’s innocence and makes a desperate plea — he wants Sophie to help him find the “real killer” who murdered his ex-wife.
With the aid of some Alligatoids and a Mangrove Man, Soph hunts through the past… while someone else hunts her in the present. This whodunit culminates with crop circles, a dance-off, a cat-and-mouse chase through the colourful, yet treacherous, streets of the Wynwood district, where Sophie finds the “real killer” — and discovers a startling new truth about herself… one which threatens to doom her once and for all.

About the Author
Richard Ashley Hamilton is a Cuban-American (no, really) writer best known for his storytelling across DreamWorks Animation’s How To Train Your Dragon and Guillermo Del Toro’s Tales of Arcadia franchises. He wrote on the Daytime Emmy-winning first season of Dragons: Race to the Edge and scripted the Lumiere award-winning How To Train Your Dragon: Hidden World Tour VR experience. But in his heart, Richard remains a lifelong comic book fan. He currently writes a YA graphic novel series, Scoop, for Mad Cave Studios/Maverick, and his middle-grade horror title, Fearbook Club, was named a 2022 Junior Library Guild Official Selection. Richard lives in Glendale, CA, with his wife, their two sons, and a Husky named Lulu.
After finishing his illustration studies in Buenos Aires, Pablo Andrés moved to Spain, where he began drawing comics and where he currently resides. His work has been published in Dark Horse Comics, Disney Comics, Insight Comics, Hugo Publishing and Z2 Comics. He is co-creator of the Webtoon Summer Lights, which was awarded a special mention.
