Breaking news! All four volumes of SCOOP in one beautiful edition that is sure to stop the presses.

Sophie Cooper is the newest intern at the WMIA 7 news station—a struggling station based in Miami, Florida—and she's determined to use access to the newsroom’s resources to prove her father has been framed for embezzlement. But investigating her father’s case soon uncovers some unsettling things about her hometown, like a flying saucer crashed in the Everglades, a chupacabra running wild, a digital doppelgänger intent on ruining what’s left of Sophie’s social life, and a bunker, hidden since the 1960s, that seems to be at odds with time itself...

Sophie will have to rely on all her truth-seeking skills to solve these mysteries!

About the Author

RICHARD ASHLEY HAMILTON is an award-winning Cuban-American (no, really) writer and creative consultant best known for his storytelling across many DreamWorks Animation franchises including How To Train Your Dragon and Guillermo Del Toro’s Trollhunters. He wrote on the Daytime Emmy-winning first season of Dragons: Race to the Edge and scripted the Lumiere award-winning How To Train Your Dragon: Hidden World Tour VR experience. But in his heart, Richard remains a lifelong comic book fan and has created titles at Dark Horse, Aftershock, Insight, Sandstorm, and more. For Mad Cave Studios’ Maverick imprint, he currently writes two YA graphic novel series, SCOOP and TECTIV—recipient of a Kirkus Starred Review and featured in their list of the Top 100 Indie Books of 2025—with the all-ages adventure, LEO DA VINCI: RENAISSANCE KID, released by Papercutz on April 15, 2026 (Leonardo da Vinci’s actual birthday). Richard’s middle-grade horror story, FEARBOOK CLUB, was also named a Junior Library Guild Official Selection. Richard lives in Glendale, CA, with his wife, their two sons, and a Husky named Lulu.

After finishing his illustration studies in Buenos Aires, Pablo Andrés moved to Spain, where he began drawing comics and where he currently resides. His work has been published in Dark Horse Comics, Disney Comics, Insight Comics, Hugo Publishing and Z2 Comics. He is co-creator of the Webtoon Summer Lights, which was awarded a special mention.

Joseph Cooper is an American artist originally from Detroit, MI. After getting his start freelancing for local advertising agencies, he attended the prestigious School of Visual Arts in New York City. He’s worked for almost every major American comic book publisher, most notably Marvel, DC, Valiant, Dynamite, and Image. Outside of comics, he was an illustrator at the venerable skateboard company Powell-Peralta for many years. Joe is currently living the good life in sunny Southern California with his wife and son.

Simon Robins based in the bushy surrounds of regional Victoria in Australia. With a focus on the psychology and storytelling potential of color, Simon strives to push the limits of the medium and explore new and creative approaches to coloring comics. With seven years as a professional colorist, he has worked with both major mainstream and independent publishers and creators. He also occasionally letters comics and loves the unseen craft involved in this often under-recognized element of comic creation.

Rebecca Good is a comic artist and comic book colorist. Freelancing since 2013, Rebecca has worked on a large range of series, notably, Power Rangers: Across the Morphin Grid, Tales Through Time: The Old Guard with Image Comics, and the Pulitzer Prize winning non-fiction comic “How I Escape a Chinese Internment Camp” with Insider.com. Creating mood and narrative through color is her passion and specialty. When she’s not drawing or coloring, she enjoys petting her cat Vivian, and watching cartoons with husband Tom.

Dave Lanphear is an award-winning cartoonist, comic book letterer, art director and story producer. He was one of the creative team on Archaia's Return of the Dapper Men which was awarded two Eisner Awards. Notable books Lanphear is known for lettering include Batman: The Long Halloween, Superman '78, Mighty Avengers, Wonder Woman, Thunderbolts, Danger Girl, X-Men/WildCATS, Fraggle Rock, will.i.am's Zombie Nation, and FutureQuest. He's online at @Artmonkeys_Studios on Instagram, and @artmonkeys everywhere else.

Justin Birch is a Ringo Award-nominated letterer born and raised in the hills of West Virginia. Lettering comics since 2015, he is a member of the lettering studio AndWorld Design and has worked with AWA, Boom!, DC, Dark Horse, IDW, Image, Mad Cave Studios, and numerous indy publishers. Justin still lives in West Virginia, only now it’s with his loving wife, daughters, and their dog, Kirby.
