See moreFeaturing vibrantly coloured, politically charged imagery, this stunning volume offers the first comprehensive examination of work by the Sacramento-based collective known as the Royal Chicano Air Force.
The group produced lively posters and murals for educational, cultural, and political activities at the height of the Chicano Movement. Their art and activism influenced many artists and historians, with images reflecting Latin American and Chicanx history, symbols of protest and union support, and celebrations of cultural touchstones such as lowriders, Cinco de Mayo, Day of the Dead, and other community events.
With vivid illustrations and accessible text by scholars in the field, this striking book, Rebels with La Causa, will help bring this heavily influential group and movement to life.
