This model is not meant to be a copy of any particular prototype engine but is designed to demonstrate the broad concepts of a hybrid engine. The hybrid module connected to the combustion engine doesn’t ‘work’, but it uses fibre optic cables to show how electricity flows to the power supply when the combustion engine is running and charging, as well as how the battery surges when the engine is running on a combination of combustion and electricity or just electricity.

The model is enjoyable to construct, and the kit includes all the tools you’ll need as well as over 100 pieces to complete the operating model. It comes with its own simple, yet extensive, instruction manual featuring lots of easy-to-follow diagrams and illustrations. Each component is clearly identified and each step in the build sequence is shown in words & pictures. Finally, all 3 operating modes are domonstated: Normal/Eco/Elec­tric. Suitable for children above the age of ten. Adult supervision is advised.
