Presenting the essential information of Eurocode 7, this guide uses summary tables, diagrams, worked examples and real-life site investigations to explain and illustrate the new geotechnical design standard.
Decoding Eurocode 7 provides a detailed examination of Eurocode 7 Parts 1 and 2 and an overview of the associated European and International standards. The detail of the code is set out in summary tables and diagrams, with extensive annotation.
Fully annotated worked examples demonstrate how to apply it to real designs. Flow diagrams explain how reliability is introduced into design, and mind maps gather related information into a coherent framework.
Written by authors who specialise in lecturing on the subject, Decoding Eurocode 7 explains the key principles and application rules of Eurocode 7 in a logical and simple manner. It is invaluable for practitioners, as well as for high-level students and researchers working in geotechnical fields.
