Description
Against A Dark Background follows the story of Sharrow, who was once the leader of a personality-attuned combat team during one of the sporadic commercial wars in the civilisation orbiting the planet Golter.
Now, Sharrow is hunted by the Huhsz, a religious cult that believes she is the last obstacle before the faith's apotheosis. Her only hope for survival is to locate the last of the apocalyptically powerful Lazy Guns before the Huhsz can catch her.
Her journey takes her through the exotic Golterian system, leading her on a destructive and savage odyssey that delves deep into the past of her family, the system, and herself.
