The ABCs of chess refers to the fundamental principles and basic concepts that are essential for understanding and playing the game of chess.

Chess is often considered crucial for the development of the young brain due to its various cognitive and educational benefits. The author, Vishnu Warrier, found the perfect match with Thinkers' graphic artist Dirk Dewitte, producing his latest chess book for kids and starters.

Playing chess involves remembering the rules of the game, recalling past moves, and recognising patterns on the board. This continuous exercise of memory can help improve a child's memory capacity and retention.
