Swept Away follows Mandy Sullivan as she faces the summer months in her seaside hometown on the coast of Maine. With her best friend, Cynthia, off at camp and her older brother staying at college for the summer, Mandy finds herself with nothing to do and no one to hang out with. To keep herself occupied, she takes a volunteer job at the Rocky Pointe Lighthouse.
