Beat the Dutch Defense
Beat the Dutch Defense by Jan Boekelman provides a comprehensive strategy for those looking to play with sound aggression against the Dutch Defence.
The book promises readers good attacking chances without the need to learn complex theories about the Leningrad Dutch, the Stonewall, or the Classical Dutch—common opening setups that opponents may be well-versed in.
This work introduces players to a robust system for White, centred around a complete repertoire based on the Staunton gambit.
Additionally, the book offers a White repertoire that includes various alternatives for players to choose from, along with an in-depth analysis of all possible responses from Black.

About the Author
Jan Boekelman is a Dutch chess enthusiast and theorist. In his younger years he participated in the Dutch Youth Championships, the Open Dutch Championships and he played a number of years in a team in the Dutch national league. In those years he wrote theoretical articles for the New in Chess magazine and its predecessor Schaakbulletin. After a long stay outside the Netherlands, Jan has picked up chess again. He now focuses mainly on opening analyses. This is his second book for Thinkers Publishing, his first being the most acclaimed "Modernized King's Indian - Averbakh Variation" of 2021.
