Additionally, these poems, written from Bacon's perspective and adopted personas, examine the timeless themes of birth and death, love and loss, maleness and femaleness.
As a Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation poet, Crystal Bacon led writing seminars for high school teachers in southern New Jersey. Her work has appeared in publications in the US and Canada, as well as the anthology, Urban Nature: Poems about Wildlife in the City.
A professor at Gloucester County College, she divides her time between New Jersey and Nova Scotia.

About the Author
Crystal Bacon, was a 1998 New Jersey State Council of the Arts grant recipient. As a Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation poet, she has led Clearing the Spring, Tending the Fountain writing seminars for high school teachers in southern New Jersey. Her work has appeared in a variety of publications in the US and Canada, including the Ontario Review, Tampa Review, Massachusetts Review, Marlboro Review, and Antigonish Review as well as the anthology, Urban Nature: Poems about Wildlife in the City. An Associate Professor of Communication at Gloucester County College, she divides her time between New Jersey and Nova Scotia.
