This invaluable resource is a treasure trove of practical advice and phrases that can be seamlessly integrated into daily life, offering a unique way to connect with the Māori culture and heritage.

Imagine being able to ask "Kei hea o pūtu whutuporo?" (Where are your rugby boots?) or "Homai te ranu tomato" (Pass me the tomato sauce) around the home, bringing a new dimension of cultural richness to your everyday conversations. This book offers the essential vocabulary and expressions needed to discuss weather ("Kei te pēhea te huarere i tēnei rā?" - How is the weather today?), homework ("Kei hea tō mahi kāinga?" - Where is your homework?), and even common family disputes ("Kāti te whakaporearea i tō tuāhine!" - Stop annoying your sister!).

Maori at Home is more than just a language guide; it’s a gateway to embracing a bilingual lifestyle, fostering a greater appreciation for the Māori language and its significance in New Zealand's identity. Whether you are practising sport, preparing for school, celebrating a birthday, making a shopping list, or relaxing at the beach, this book arms you with the words and phrases that will make you feel confident in integrating Māori into your daily routine.

This book is an essential starting point for anyone willing to immerse themselves in Māori culture, linguistics, and daily living.
