Berserk Deluxe Volume 8
Berserk Deluxe Volume 8 continues the dark and gripping journey of Guts, a lone mercenary caught in a terrifying world of demonic creatures and unspeakable horrors. Set against the backdrop of a medieval landscape plagued by chaos and despair, this volume deepens the epic saga of battle, betrayal, and a struggle against fate itself. As Guts faces unprecedented challenges and his own inner turmoil, the stakes become higher, pushing him further on his relentless quest for revenge and redemption.
This deluxe edition collects volumes 22 through 24 of Kentaro Miura's acclaimed manga series, offering fans and newcomers alike the chance to experience the story as it was initially intended. The oversized hardcover format enhances the intricate artwork that Miura is celebrated for, capturing every detail of the brutal and haunting world of Berserk.
Following the dramatic events at the Tower of Conviction, Guts finds himself on a collision course with powerful forces beyond his comprehension. The mysterious reappearance of Griffith—once his comrade and now a transformed entity of the Godhand—adds new layers of complexity to the narrative. Revitalised and reborn, Griffith commands a new Band of the Hawk, composed of warriors drawn from the shadows, as he seeks to fulfil his ruthless ambition.
Beyond its intense plot, Berserk delves into profound themes of friendship, sacrifice, and the eternal battle between light and darkness. Miura masterfully weaves a tale that is as much about the internal struggles of his characters as it is about their external conflicts, offering readers a tapestry of psychological depth and mythical storytelling.
This deluxe volume also includes three fold-out colour posters, showcasing some of the most striking art from the series. It is a must-have for any fan of fantasy and horror, embodying the full breadth of Miura’s visionary storytelling.
Perfectly blending visceral action with philosophical exploration, Berserk Deluxe Volume 8 is a testament to the enduring appeal of Miura’s masterpiece. Dive into a world where every victory comes at a significant cost, and the line between ally and adversary is as thin as a sword’s edge.

About the Author
While attending college at Nihon University, in 1988, Kentaro Miura debuted a 48-page manga known as Berserk Prototype, an introduction to the current Berserk fantasy world. It went on to win Miura a prize from the Comi Manga School. In 1989, after receiving a doctorate degree, Kentarou started a project titled King of Wolves based on a script by Buronson, writer of Hokuto no Ken (Fist Of The North Star). In 1990, the first volume Berserk was released with a relatively limited success. Miura again collaborated with Buronson on manga entitled Japan. Miura's fame grew after Berserk began "The Golden Age" story arc and the huge success of this masterpiece made of him one of the most prominent contemporary manga artists. In 1997, Miura supervised the production of 25 anime episodes of Berserk that aired in the same year on NTV. The series has also spawned a whole host of merchandise, both official and fan made, ranging from statues and action figures, to key rings, video games, and a trading card game. In 2002, Kentaro Miura received the second place in the Tezuka Osamu (Astro Boy) Cultural Prize of Excellence for Berserk. The author lives in Tokyo, Japan.
