Every organisation has goals. Far fewer consistently achieve them.
Despite decades of investment in leadership, engagement, and productivity, most organisations still struggle to turn strategy into sustained execution. The problem isn’t a lack of ambition or talent. It’s the absence of a system that reliably converts goals into daily action.
In Goal Machine, you’ll discover why goals set direction, but systems create performance. Through compelling stories from elite sport, business, and entrepreneurship, this book introduces the Human Performance Operating System, a practical approach to building organisations where execution, motivation, and momentum become the natural outcome of the system itself.

About the Author
Darren Whitaker-Barnett is an entrepreneur, leadership mentor, and founder of Kudosync, a Human Performance Operating System for modern technology companies. Over a career spanning more than three decades, he has represented New Zealand in international sport, been named New Zealand Salesperson of the Year, built and scaled the SaaS company WhosOnLocation to more than 10,000 workplaces across 42 countries, and was recognised as CEO Today’s Australasian CEO of the Year in 2021. Drawing on lessons learned through elite sport, enterprise sales, executive leadership, and building a global technology company, Darren distilled the Three Laws and Five Principles that underpin the Human Performance Operating System. He believes artificial intelligence should help leaders ask better questions, identify patterns, and make better-informed decisions, but judgment, empathy, accountability, and the responsibility for leading people should always remain human.
