Trickarus is a unique trick-taking game that involves flying, flipping and trying not to soar too close to the sun!

Theme: Card Game

Icarus and his friends have crafted handmade wings. Day and night, filled with jubilance at their newfound freedom, they fly higher and higher. However, flying too close to the sun could cause them to plummet from the sky.

In this trick-taking game, winning tricks elevates you higher into the sky. Yet, players must be cautious and consider losing tricks strategically to avoid flying directly into the sun. This can be particularly challenging, as playing any 5 card will switch the time from day to night (or vice versa), causing your cards to rotate and turning higher rank cards into low ones and vice versa. If opponents can force you to fly too high, they may gain an advantage to win.

The game features dual cards, which have one value during the day and another at night. Both values add to 10, converting a 3 to a 7 upon rotation. Additionally, Sun cards are Trump during the day, while Moon cards take that role at night.

You'll need to rethink your trick-taking strategy, playing mid-range cards in seemingly hopeless hands, because 1's and 2's can unexpectedly transform and become quite powerful when flipped to 8's and 9's.
