A gentle, illustrated journey through a house built from memory, where Isabel meets the parts she hid to survive—Rabbit, Ox, Wolf and Crane. Clinically informed yet poetic, Welcome Home offers language, not fixes, for readers healing trauma, identity fractures and emotional silencing.
What if the parts of yourself you silenced just to survive… were the ones calling you home?
Welcome Home is seen through the eyes of Isabel Meilin, who wanders through a mysterious house built from memory, where she meets Rabbit, Ox, Wolf, and Crane—inner protectors shaped by fear, duty, rage, and distance. Each carries a question: What do I need to feel safe enough to be seen?
Blending clinical insight with trauma-informed storytelling and the emotional landscape of diasporic identity, Welcome Home speaks to those who carry much, feel deeply, and rarely feel safe, especially readers navigating intergenerational silence, diaspora identity, and emotional suppression.
Tender, validating, and giftable, this book is a soft place to land when the world feels sharp, and an invitation to remember the wholeness that has always been yours.

About the Author
Dr. Bee Teng Lim is a clinical psychologist whose work explores the subtle wounds of trauma: the fracture of identity, the inheritance of silence, and the ways we adapt to survive. Born in Malaysia, trained in New Zealand, and now based in Australia, she brings clinical rigor and depth of care to those navigating the lasting impacts of trauma and displacement. Fluent in Mandarin and several Asian dialects, she is known for her commitment to inclusive, trauma-informed care. She is the co-founder of Mind Health Collective, a Sydney-based psychology practice that serves clients internationally, and co-founder of BeTuned, a game-based therapeutic and performance platform. Welcome Home is her first book.
