Description

The #BestofBookTok author of House of Bane and Blood is back with an enthralling standalone romantasy about a desperate necromancer, a centuries-old con man, and the past they are doomed to repeat.

The Cycle always repeats itself. Why would this one have a different ending?

The Past: Osric Hale lives, steals, and commits all sorts of vices under the ruthless sun of Sol-Trabes - all to pay for a new life somewhere else. When his latest job goes wrong, however, he's given a choice: find a missing Divine or face eternity in a crypt.

The Present: To save her sister from the Night Queen, Desiree Darrow must find the Sun King. But she'll need the help of the man responsible for his death - a thief who died over a hundred years ago. As the past and present converge, Des discovers a centuries-old connection between her and Osric - and an ancient evil that has endured just as long. The past always repeats itself, but this time, can the Cycle be broken?
