It's been another busy week in our warehouse, with heaps of board games arriving at Book Hero! We've had some exciting new releases join our range, along with some much-needed restocks of games you've been waiting for.
With Halloween just around the corner, the timing of some of these arrivals couldn't have been better. We've had new Final Girl games, more Unlock! adventures, a few new games for two players and even some additions to popular series like Unmatched and King of Tokyo.
And this is only part of our latest shipment! We've still got plenty more games on the way, but I thought I'd share a few of the ones that have caught my attention so far.
A Little Bit Spooky, Just in Time for Halloween! 🎃
I couldn't start anywhere else this week! With Halloween coming up, we've had some brilliant new games and additions to our horror range arrive, perfect if you're planning a spooky game night.
Final Girl
We've had a HUGE selection of Final Girl arrive, including some exciting new additions to the series!
If you haven't come across Final Girl before, it's a solo horror board game where you take on the role of the final survivor in your very own horror movie. Each Feature Film brings a different killer and location, so there's plenty of variety depending on the kind of horror you're in the mood for.
One of the new arrivals I'm particularly excited about is Final Girl Series 3: Don't Make a Sound, along with the Series 3 Bonus Features Box.
We've also had heaps of miniature sets arrive, including A Demon in the Shadows, A Knock at the Door, Carnage at the Carnival, Haunting of Creech Manor, Hell to Pay and plenty more!
Whether you're just getting started with Final Girl or you've already got a growing collection, there's lots to explore.
One Night Ultimate Super Villains
If you're after something spooky but a little less serious, One Night Ultimate Super Villains is a great one to check out!
Everyone takes on a secret role as either a superhero or a villain, and you've only got a few minutes to work out who's who. Expect plenty of accusations, suspicious behaviour and probably a little bit of betrayal!
We've also had Ultimate Werewolf Bonus Roles arrive, so if you're already a fan of the Ultimate Werewolf games, there's even more to add to your game nights.
Unlock! Supernatural Adventures
I love a good escape room game, so I'm always happy when we get more Unlock! games in!
Unlock! Supernatural Adventures takes you through three mysterious adventures filled with puzzles, clues and unexpected discoveries. You'll need to work together to solve each challenge, and with its supernatural theme, it's a great choice for Halloween.
If you enjoy puzzles and mysteries but don't necessarily want a traditional horror game, this could be a fun one to try!
Some Exciting New Games!
It's not all spooky games this week! We've also had some brilliant new releases arrive, from quick two-player games to bigger strategy adventures.
Exploding Kittens: The Board Game
If you're a fan of Exploding Kittens, there's now a board game to add to your collection!
Exploding Kittens: The Board Game brings the ridiculous humour and chaos of the original card game to a whole new format. If you enjoy games that don't take themselves too seriously, this is definitely one to have a look at.
King of Tokyo Duel & King of Tokyo Origins
We've had not one, but TWO new King of Tokyo games arrive!
King of Tokyo Duel brings the monster-battling fun of the original into a dedicated two-player game. If you love King of Tokyo but usually only have one other person to play with, this is a great one to check out.
We've also had King of Tokyo Origins arrive, which is a brilliant way to get into the series if you've never played before.
I love that we've got even more options for King of Tokyo fans now, whether you're after a quick head-to-head battle or a chaotic game night with friends.
The Bears and the Bees
This one caught my attention because I love a good nature-themed game!
The Bears and the Bees is a colourful tile-laying game where you're trying to get rid of your cards by matching the different colours and patterns. It looks simple enough to pick up, but there's a bit of strategy involved too.
It's a lovely option if you're after something a little more relaxed to play with friends or family.
The Royal Society of Archeology
Another new arrival that caught my attention is The Royal Society of Archeology!
This one is all about heading off on archaeological expeditions, discovering ancient sites and building your reputation. I always love seeing games with interesting themes arrive, and this is definitely one I'd like to learn more about.
If you enjoy strategy games with an exploration theme, this could be one worth checking out.
Deck of Many Insults
I couldn't leave this one out, purely because the name made me laugh!
Deck of Many Insults is a fun little addition for fantasy and tabletop roleplaying fans. It's a great way to bring a bit of extra humour to your adventures, and I can see it making a pretty good gift for the D&D player in your life.
More Adventures from Your Favourite Series
One of the things I love about getting big board game shipments is seeing how many additions we can make to some of our existing series. This week, we've had quite a few!
Unlock! Escape Room Games
It's not just Supernatural Adventures that's arrived! We've also had a great selection of other Unlock! games join our range.
Some of the new releases include:
🔹Unlock! Risky Adventures
🔹Unlock! Short Adventures #5: In Pursuit of Cabrakan
🔹Unlock! Short Adventures #12: The Ocean's Heart
🔹Unlock! Short Adventures #13: The Ascent
If you haven't played Unlock! before, they're cooperative escape room games where you work together to solve puzzles, find hidden clues and complete your adventure.
The Short Adventures are particularly good if you're after something you can play in a shorter session, and I love how many different themes there are to choose from.
We've also had Unlock! Kids: Detective Stories and Unlock! Kids: Stories from the Past arrive, so there's something for younger puzzlers too!
Unmatched
We've had some brilliant additions to our Unmatched range arrive this week!
Unmatched is a series of tactical fighting games where iconic characters battle it out, each with their own unique abilities and play styles. One of the things I love about the series is how many different characters you can mix and match.
This week's new releases include:
🔹Unmatched: The Witcher – Realms Fall
🔹Unmatched: Battle of Legends Volume 1
🔹Unmatched: Robin Hood vs Bigfoot
Whether you're a long-time Unmatched fan or looking to get started, there's a great selection to choose from.
Forest Shuffle: Woodland Edge Expansion
Forest Shuffle has been a popular addition to our range, so it's exciting to have another expansion arrive!
The Woodland Edge Expansion brings even more variety to the game, with new cards and combinations to explore. If you already love building your little forest ecosystem in Forest Shuffle, this is a great way to mix things up.
Twilight Imperium: Thunder's Edge
For anyone who loves a BIG strategy game, we've also had Twilight Imperium: Thunder's Edge arrive!
This expansion adds even more content to the already enormous Twilight Imperium universe. If you're a fan of epic space adventures, political negotiations and games that can take up an entire afternoon (or day!), this is definitely one to check out.
We've also had the Scythe Legendary Box arrive, perfect for anyone wanting to keep their Scythe collection organised.
Some Favourite Games Are Back in Stock!
It's not all new releases this week! We've also had a HUGE selection of restocks arrive, including some games we've been waiting to get back on our shelves.
A few highlights include Dixit, Zenith, Jaipur, Wavelength, Splendor Kids and heaps of Spot It! games.
And I'm particularly happy to see Piles! back in stock!
If you've read some of my previous board game blogs, you'll probably know I love a good quick game, and Piles! has become one of my favourites. It's fast, a little chaotic and always a lot of fun, especially when everyone starts getting competitive!
We've also had plenty of other family favourites, strategy games and party games arrive, so if you've been waiting for something to come back in stock, now's a great time to have another look.
And There's Still More to Come!
This is only the first part of our latest board game shipment, with even more games still on their way to Book Hero!
I'll be sharing another round of arrivals next week, so keep an eye out for even more exciting additions to our growing board game range.
In the meantime, whether you're looking for a spooky Halloween game, something new to play with friends or a favourite that's finally back in stock, there's plenty to explore!
