Drawn from the world-renowned holdings of the Brooklyn Museum, this beautifully illustrated book is organized in a series of frameworks including content from the museum's Black Feminist Roundtable, presenting concepts such as "Rest as Resistance," "Black and White Show," and "To Give Flowers".
Iconic favourite images will be grouped alongside never-before-seen works, highlighting the unique transdisciplinary conversations that can occur between objects. The approach used seeks to prioritise dialogue and engagement that shifts the focus to create an accessible and inclusive, interdisciplinary story of American Art.
