Book Hero Magic crafted this summary to help describe this book. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! Summary
Tony Duquette's Dawnridge explores the imaginative transformation of the legendary Dawnridge estate in Beverly Hills. Originally a modest 30 x 30 foot box built in 1949 by designer Tony Duquette and his wife Elizabeth, the home has evolved into a creatively designed private residence. Author Hutton Wilkinson, who purchased the home after Duquette's death, details the estate's expansion, including additional houses and unique objects crafted by the Duquettes. The book is organised around the three main houses, with insights into the spectacular design elements and the stories behind each room, complemented by Tim Street-Porter's evocative photographs of both original and redesigned interiors.

Designer Tony Duquette's legendary Dawnridge, located in Beverly Hills, is one of the most creatively designed private homes in America. Built in 1949 by Duquette and his wife, Elizabeth, the original structure was a modest 30 x 30 foot box.

Hutton Wilkinson purchased the home following Duquette's death in 1999, and he has since breathed new life into the estate, broadening the property, adding houses of his own design, and incorporating remarkable objects designed and created by the Duquettes.

Written by Wilkinson, Tony Duquette's Dawnridge chronicles the luxe and historic home's transformation. The book is organised by the three main houses, and Wilkinson elaborates on the spectacular design elements in each room and shares the stories behind the spaces.

Tim Street-Porter's photographs show both the original and redesigned rooms.
