It is the year 1554. King Henry VIII’s two daughters are at the centre of England's future. Queen Mary sits on the throne, while her half-sister, Princess Elizabeth, is imprisoned in the Tower of London.
Amidst this volatile mix of rivalry and politics, twins Scarlet and Thomas make their entrance. Thomas takes on work with the executioner, even meeting the monarch as she decides the fate of her enemies. Meanwhile, Scarlett sneaks into the tower, forming an unexpected friendship with the young princess.
Will the twins maintain their wits... or will they lose their heads?
