About the Author

Eliza Hull is an award-winning musician, writer, and disability advocate. She is the creator of the ABC podcast series We’ve Got This about parenting with a disability. She also edited and created the book with the same title We’ve Got This: Essays by disabled parents which features parents who identify as disabled, Deaf or Chronically Ill. She is a contributor in the Growing up Disabled in Australia and Teacher Teacher anthologies, and her award-winning children’s book Come Over To My House, co-written with Sally Rippin and illustrated by Daniel Gray-Barnett, authentically represents various families with disability. A writer for the ABC, Eliza is also a regular television and radio guest, using her lived experience of disability to reduce stigma.

Sally Rippin is a best-selling and beloved author for children, and the eighth Australian Children's Laureate. Her most popular series include Billie B Brown, Hey Jack! and School of Monsters, and she has over 10 million books in print worldwide. She has also written one book for adults: Wild Things: How We Learn to Read and What Can Happen If We Don't.

Daniel Gray-Barnett is an illustrator and author from the Huon Valley in lutruwita/Tasmania. He likes to think of himself as someone who was put on this planet to tell a few stories before he turns into a grumpy old man. He's worked with clients including Disney, Kiehl's, Sydney Opera House and The New York Times and his first picture book, Grandma Z, won a Children's Book Council of Australia award for Best New Illustrator. When he's not in the studio, he can be found daydreaming in the garden with his husband, German pointers and chickens.
