The World That Loved Books
Age range 4 To 8
In a world where all creatures read, marvellous transformations occur. Cats reading about mice become mice. Horses reading about fish become fish. Even a rhinoceros that reads about butterflies becomes butterflies.
This beautiful, uniquely illustrated fable about how books can change us in marvellous and unexpected ways has captured the imaginations of many children and adults around the world. The World That Loved Books by Stephen Parlato presents stunning, surreal collage creations that are unique among picture books and will inspire hours of looking and imagining.
