Which criteria are we sorting ourselves and each other by? Connecting Human Differentiation with Systems Theory, Anthropology, and Social Complexity.
Human differentiation encompasses human classification and categorisation processes that we encounter on a daily basis. Klaus Behnam Shad offers a new framework of human differentiation that emphasises social complexity and intersectionality.
Uniquely integrating systems theory with political, psychological, and biological anthropology, this systemic-anthropological approach firmly rejects culturalising, moralising, and ideologising stances that claim a supposed superiority. This provides valuable insights into group-based differentiation processes that would otherwise remain inscrutable.
In The Sorting of Humanity, Shad delivers a compelling narrative that challenges conventional views and inspires a rethinking of the structures that shape our society.
