About the Author
Carey Morning (Author) Carey Morning has a background in child development, using the power ofstory and her keen imagination in her clinical work, as well as to writepoetry and stories. Originally from Connecticut, Carey now lives in Edinburgh. Alan Marks (Illustrator) Alan Marks is a British illustrator and children's book author. He began his career illustrating for magazines and newspapers in England. His first children's book Storm, written by Kevin Crossley Holland, won the Carnegie Medal. Alan now illustrates a wide variety of subjects, from nursery rhymes to war poetry. He is the illustrator of the Boston Globe-Horn Book Award Honor Book and illustrated books for many children's authors, including Joan Aiken, Kevin Crossley-Holland and Jane Goodall. Alan lives in an old house in the Kent countryside with his wife and two daughters.
