DescriptionA century has passed since the gods waged a cataclysmic war, annihilating themselves and leaving only their bones as relics of immense power. In The Shadow of the Gods, bestselling author John Gwynne weaves an epic tale set in the Norse-inspired land of Vigrio, where whispers of conflict grow ever louder. Here, fate intertwines with the destinies of three formidable warriors, each navigating a world where myth, magic, and bloody vengeance reign supreme.
Orka, a fierce huntress driven by a perilous quest, embodies the spirit of survival and determination. Elvar, a noblewoman craving the glory of battle fame, fights to carve her name into the annals of history. Meanwhile, Varg, a thrall shackled by a past thirsting for revenge, joins forces with the formidable Bloodsworn mercenaries. As their paths converge, the shadow of the gods looms once more over Vigrio, forcing these disparate souls into an epic struggle that will shape the fate of their world.
The first instalment in a thrilling new fantasy saga, The Shadow of the Gods captivates with its meticulously crafted world, rich with Norse mythology and relentless action. Gwynne's storytelling prowess is on full display, delivering a narrative that is both grand in scope and deeply personal in its character development.
