The essential questions and answers you need to know about planning your retirement.
When you think about retirement, what comes to mind? Maybe it has something to do with stopping work, but should it? Whatever your plans for retirement are, do you know how to achieve them? Do you know how your pensions, ISAs, property and everything else will come together to deliver the lifestyle you want one day?
In this deeply practical book, 25-year veteran financial planner Pete Matthew walks you through the three phases of retirement:
The Home Straight - the last five or ten years before retirement, when it's time to get everything in place and aligned.
The Great Transition - for many of us, retiring is a process not an event and it looks different for each of us.
The New Normal - once we're settled into our new life, we need to keep everything under review and look towards some later life planning.
In this book, you'll find everything you need to KNOW and everything you need to DO to plan and enjoy your perfect retirement.

About the Author
Pete Matthew is a happy and content husband and father of two adult daughters, plus two canine daughters that he loves more than his kids. He plays piano and drums, and has recently taken up ballroom dancing lessons. He's also a super-nerd, who likes nothing more than unboxing the latest piece of tech 'guaranteed' to make his life that little bit easier. He is a Chartered Financial Planner and CEO of Jacksons Wealth in Penzance, Cornwall. Jacksons has been serving the financial planning needs of local families and businesses since 1923, surely making it one of the longest-established private financial advice companies in the UK. In 2009 Pete decided he wanted to take the message of simple financial planning to a wider audience. He began recording short videos in the Cornish countryside, answering questions such as 'What is a pension?', 'What is an ISA?' and 'Why would you have one over the other?' The videos gained some traction, but after creating over 300 of them, Pete switched to the emerging medium of podcasting in 2012, and that's when things went a bit crazy. The MeaningfulMoney Podcast has now been downloaded well over 7.5 million times, with over 550 weekly episodes in the can. He receives emails from listeners every day reporting how they have transformed their financial lives using the tools that Pete has provided via MeaningfulMoney. The YouTube channel now boasts 125,000 subscribers and 250,000 monthly views. 15 years on, the Meaningful Money project continues to be a labour of love, and this book is an extension of that project.
