About the Author
Ambrose Mungala Chalarimeri was born in his traditional country Oomarri on the King George River in the Kimberley region. He was raised under the Spanish Benedictine Mission influence and what he describes as 'the civilising process of the Catholic church' and 'the clash of two cultures'. His people are the Kwini, 'the people from the sunrise side'. Ambrose has lived and worked in the Kimberley for most of his life.
