The Green Road is a compelling exploration of family, selfishness, and compassion set along Ireland's stunning Atlantic coast, authored by the Booker Prize-winner, Anne Enright.

The story follows Hanna, Dan, Constance, and Emmet as they return to the west coast of Ireland for a final family Christmas in their childhood home that their mother, Rosaleen, is about to sell. As the gathering unfolds into a scene of near painful comedy, a last, desperate act from Rosaleenβ€”who struggles to express love to her own childrenβ€”compels them to reckon with the burdens of family ties and the journeys leading them back home.

The Green Road was shortlisted for the 2015 Costa Novel Award and longlisted for the 2015 Man Booker Prize. It is recognised as one of The Guardian's 100 Best Books of the 21st Century.
