While gender-based violence is not a novel phenomenon, it has only recently come to the centre of global policy efforts. The Global Governance of Harmful Practices examines three pervasive forms of harmful practices prevalent across the world: child marriage, female genital mutilation, and gender-biased sex selection.
The author measures policy progress made by selected global programmes towards the eradication of these practices and offers crucial, practical guidance to accelerate change for the future.
