Support pollinators. Grow with purpose. Make an impact.
Set against a backdrop of dramatic climate change and accelerating biodiversity loss, The Essential Book of Pollinators is the latest book from bestselling author Sarah Wyndham Lewis. It's a practical, beautifully illustrated guide to creating green spaces which support at-risk pollinators.
Whether you have a small urban space or a larger garden, discover easy ways to create natural habitats for wildlife and meaningful actions to strengthen local pollinator populations.
Drawing on Sarahβs decades of experience in organic gardening and deep passion for pollinators, the book explores a rich and often overlooked world beyond honeybees, revealing the extraordinary diversity of insects and the countless lesser-known pollinating species which feed nature, shape ecosystems and sustain life on earth.
Inside you'll discover:
- Clear, practical advice on what, how and when to plant to support biodiversity
- Hands-on approaches to gardening chemical-free, in harmony with nature
- Simple ways to create wildlife-friendly habitats in any space

About the Author
Sarah Wyndham Lewis and her husband, Dale Gibson run the multi award-winning sustainable beekeeping practice Bermondsey Street Bees. The advent of bees in her life prompted Sarah to research and plant vital forage to feed both hived honeybees and their wild cousins, the bumblebees and solitary bee species. Alongside her own planting projects, she has mentored the creation of pollinator gardens in many different countries. Through her advocacy for sustainable honey production, Sarah is also well known in the food world as a food writer and judge.
