The Day The Lies Began explores the complexities of relationships set against the backdrop of a perfect coastal holiday town. Two couples, four ironclad friendships, and Lago Point—a community known for its postcard-perfect charm—find themselves entangled in a web of secrets.
It happened the day of the Moon Festival. What could have been left behind festers as secrets have a way of resurfacing, especially in small towns. Lago Point, with its salt-stung houses and tight-knit community, becomes the unlikely setting for potential crime and betrayal.
Wife and mother Abbi, town cop Blake, schoolteacher Hannah, and local doctor Will are all caught in their own tangled webs of deceit. Sometimes doing wrong can feel completely right, blurring the lines between victim and vigilante.
As the truth washes in, so do the judgements. Who will forgive and who will betray? Not all relationships survive. Nor do all residents.
